VICTORY BUY - BMC

After Marx went under in 1979/80 new toy soldier production took a small break but companies like Dimensions For Children (DFC) started making playsets in China for import to the US. Here in the US Bill MacMasters started BMC in 1991. Bill had worked at Toys R US and understood how the US toy market worked and started having playsets made for children covering the military themes of American history. The Revolutionary War, Alamo, Civil War, western Indian wars, San Juan Hill and World War II were all included. Men who had Marx playsets in the 50s-70s took notice and BMC started being collected by adults who longed for the simpler times of their childhood. After a dispute with a Chinese molding company some of BMC's original molds changed hands and started being run in China for Americana. Bill soldiered on, had new molds built and continued making playsets. Sadly Bill unexpectedly passed away in 2014. In 2015 Jeff Imel came to the rescue and bought BMC and carried on Bill's vision of making historical playsets for Americans kids "young & old"! Jeff found a cottage industry using old 1950s-70 molds that still existed making plastic toy figures and accessories. Jeff started buying these vintage molds and from 2018-2020 had acquired molds that had once been owned by Marx, MPC, Lido, Payton and others In 2022 Jeff bought molds and the name of Tim-Mee Toys who had been the last of the original plastic toy soldier makers having lasted until 2005. In 2022-2023 he bought many of modern manufacturer Classic Toy Soldiers molds and has become king of the toy soldier business here in the USA.

His first new set of figures are the popular US Army Women Soldiers made in may colors.

PART THREE THE RETURN OF TIM-MEE TOYS

2022 brought a big change as Victoybuy BMC was able to puchase the rights to the name plus a number of molds from Tim-Mee Toys. Tim-Mee Toys had started up about 1951 and had been taken over by Processed Plastic January 1, 1965. For over 50 years they made and sold header card bags of cowboys & Indians + armymen. The 54mm "Vietnam" armymen were introduced in 1968 and have been a best seller every since.

A great move by Victory Buy was to remake the WWII Staghound armored car that had first been made by Processed Plastic in 1952. PPCo leased the mold to Tim-Mee in the mid 50s and 50 years later the original mold was unusable so Victory Buy simply made a new one. They are available in a variety of colors.
